Inactivity
I made a guild not to long ago and now im at about 15 members but only 2 to 3 are active. If i wanted to try and get my guild back to gether would it be worth it to kick all but the active ones and then ask for more experienced players to be the first officers because the officers i had were low leveled not to experienced players. Would this be a good way of getting a better more active guild started?

kicking out the in-actives is a good start imo.
my recomendation is to have a chat with the guildies that are left and ask who would be up for recruiting fellow players. Sometimes its better to let the less experienced recruit because they often find themselves PUGing a lot more. In the end though its not about experience, its about wanting to take time out from playing the game and spend it chatting to strangers (or spamming in a city) vaunting the merits of joining your guild. |

Recruit more people - PUG more, or advertise via a website. Spamming in town doesn't get good, loyal members, from past experiences. Limit inactive time to 2-3 weeks (HiDE has a policy of 3 weeks inactive = kick+REINVITE... let your members feel welcomed back, well it helps for us).
Also try to play with your people, and promote officers in proportion with the member count. |
